As the year draws to an end, it’s a moment of reflection and gratitude. 2023 has been a whirlwind of accomplishments, new experiences, and unexpected opportunities. It’s with immense pleasure and heartfelt thanks that I look back at this remarkable journey.

And I hope the same for you!🤞

New job: Truesec and security

When joining Truesec (headhuntet) has been a pivotal point, aligning perfectly with my passion for security and the aftermath of digital breaches and prevent this. We do a lot of nice Microsoft stuff too, and I love that!
We are focusing on not just fixing the damage but also on preventing future occurrences has been both challenging and deeply fulfilling. The commitment to safeguarding those affected by cyber incidents resonates profoundly with my values, making this professional endeavor incredibly rewarding.

I´m looking forward to do much more here, and help where I can – and I can´t share to much, sorry! 😎🔒

Blog: blog.sonnes.cloud

On the digital front, witnessing the growing traction of my blog has been truly humbling.

I’ve been diligently working on creating a secure environment around my blog setup, hosting and the overall stuff – so the number of post the last time was not so many – however, with the foundations laid and improvements made, I’m excited to announce that there will be more time devoted to creating and sharing insightful content moving forward! 🤞😎

I’m committed to providing a platform where knowledge meets security, ensuring that every post is not only informative but also securely delivered to my audience.

It’s incredibly motivating to see my efforts being recognized and appreciated in the community – and I will do this still in 2024 as this kind of stuff drives me!

I want to make more time for my blog in 2024, and I’ve got “OK” on this from the home front – so I really hope what I hope can come true what I have in plan!

Microsoft: Customer Connection Program (CCP)

Moreover, being able to contribute significantly within the closed Microsoft Customer Connection Program (CCP) has been an honor. The privilege of testing new products (and give ideas to new and current), providing feedback, and collaborating with an exceptional community of experts and Microsoft employes has been nothing short of exhilarating!

Upholding strict confidentiality guidelines through NDAs and respecting the confidentiality of private previews has been paramount, emphasizing the responsibility and trust bestowed upon CCP members.

Confidentiality continues to be a cornerstone of our work, and I’m eagerly anticipating the groundbreaking developments that lie ahead in the digital landscape inside our all´s Microsoft Security stack/features!

The highlight of this year within CCP has been the opportunity to earn 18 badges for my contributions, a testament to the dedication and hard work invested in this space.

My badges for the time spend in Customer Connection Program (CCP)

I also got “swag” and something else for stuff I can’t mention – but the collaboration with Microsoft’s PM’s as well as the Customer Connection Program (CCP) Community leaders has been a pleasure!

I must express my gratitude to the incredible community leaders and collaborators within the CCP: And cool Community leaders as Katie Ryckman, Kari Feistner, Pablo J. Chacón, Linnet Kariuki and Kristina Quick – all our calls, chats, tests and bug fixing Michael Epping, Safeena Begum, Derek Su, Ofer Schreiber, Yihe Guo, Marysia Kaminska, Martin Schvartzman, Aria Carley – all the others in the Teams too – not mentioned, but not forgotten! 🙈👏🏋️

Our collective efforts have been instrumental in driving innovation forward! 👍

Transitioning to GitHub: Embracing Collaboration and Community Engagement

In the spirit of progress and a commitment to foster collaboration, I’m thrilled to announce a significant shift in the way I manage and share my code and tools. After careful consideration, I’ve decided to move my repositories from Azure DevOps to GitHub.

This transition marks an exciting phase in my journey, opening up avenues for greater sharing, collaboration, and community involvement. While some of my work will remain private due to its sensitive nature, a substantial portion will now be publicly accessible on/via GitHub.

The decision to migrate to GitHub stems from a desire to make my contributions more accessible to the wider community. GitHub’s platform, renowned for its user-friendly interface and robust collaboration tools, aligns perfectly with my vision of sharing and learning from a diverse community of developers, enthusiasts, and experts.

Take a look at GitHub here: Your Repositories (github.com)

Here’s why I’m making this transition:

Enhanced Visibility: GitHub offers unparalleled visibility, making it easier for others to discover and explore my projects. This increased exposure will facilitate knowledge sharing and encourage collaborative efforts to improve existing tools.

Community Collaboration: By moving to GitHub, I aim to foster a collaborative environment where like-minded individuals can contribute, suggest improvements, and build upon the foundation I’ve laid. I’m excited to engage with the community, leveraging collective expertise to enhance the quality and functionality of my projects.

I invite you to join me on this exciting journey as I transition my code and tools to GitHub. Your feedback, suggestions, and contributions are invaluable in shaping the future direction of these projects.

In the coming weeks and months, I’ll be sharing more details about specific repositories and tools there will be available on GitHub. I’m thrilled about the possibilities that this move offers and look forward to the collaborative endeavors ahead.

Thank you for your continued support, and let’s embark on this new chapter of collaboration and community engagement together on GitHub too!

My work: In general

I’m immensely grateful for the support received from both the community and individuals who have acknowledged and shared my work. Your encouragement in public and private messages has been a constant source of motivation, and I truly appreciate each one of you.

I’m here for our community’s growth. Committed to lending a helping hand, I stand ready to support and assist wherever needed. Together, let’s navigate challenges, share insights, and foster a collaborative environment for mutual progress.
